HC Deb 20 November 1984 vol 68 c136W
41. Mr. Heathcoat-Amory

asked the Secretary of State for Employment how many female part-time jobs have been created in the most recent year for which figures are available.

Mr. Alan Clark

Information about job gains and job losses is not available from the Department's statistics, but an indication of the net changes can be seen by comparing the levels of employees in employment at different dates. Between June 1983 and June 1984 the estimated numbers of females in part-time employment in Great Britain increased by 165,000.
