My right hon. Friend and I meet the chairman of the Manpowrer Services Commission frequently to discuss many matters, including the community programme.

asked the Secretary of State for Employment whether he is satisfied that recent changes in eligibility rules for the community programme will provide help for those most in need.

Yes. These charges will ensure that those most in need both of a job and of financial help will enjoy priority on the programme.
