§ Mr. ChalkerUnder our proposals, traffic management, including catering for the safe movement of cyclists, will become a statutory duty on the London boroughs. We are continuing our discussions with them over the way in which these duties will be discharged. Whether they will wish to take on any of the existing GLC staff will be up to them in the light of the resources they already possess.
