asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what have been the effects on bilateral relations with the South African Government of their non-compliance with the pledge given to the court in Coventry by four South African citizens.

A serious disagreement of this nature must inevitably affect bilateral relations. The South African Government are in no doubt about our views on this matter, which were made clear to this House by my hon. Friend the Member for Edinburgh, Pentlands (Mr. Rifkind) in his statement on 23 October.
