§ Mrs. ChalkerThe qualifications for appointment to the board of London Regional Transport are specified in schedule 1 to the London Regional Transport Act 1984. Mr. Telford Beasley has an impressive record of achievement in his career to date, and my right hon. Friend is in no doubt that his qualifications and experience are those required to run a business with expenditure of £435 million and some 30,000 staff.
