§ Mr. Ian StewartThe plans for the transfer of the trustee savings banks to fully-fledged private sector status have been drawn up on the basis of proposals made by the TSB Central Board in consultation with the Treasury. In addition to my discussions with the TSB Central Board and representatives of the individual TSBs, I have received a small number of letters from hon. Members and members of the public asking about particular aspects of the proposals.
