§ Mr. Tony Lloydasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if the Government have had recently or intend to have discussions with the Government of Guatemala.
§ Mr. RentonMy right hon. and learned Friend met the Guatemalan Minister for Foreign Affairs in San Jose in September during the meeting between European and Central and Latin American Foreign Ministers. The possibility of resuming consular relations broken off by Guatemala in 1981 was discussed. There will be further talks at official level in due course.
