§ Mr. Rogersasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what recent discussions he has had in the Council of Ministers regarding an increase in own resources.
§ Sir Geoffrey HoweThe question of an increase in own resources was discussed at the Foreign Affairs Council on 2 and 3 October. Member states agreed to meet the Community's inescapable financial obligations, including our abatement in respect of 1984, on the revenue side as agreed at Fontainebleau. All but one member state agreed that this should be done by bringing forward a174W limited amount of new own resources into 1985. The question will be discussed again at the next Foreign Affairs Council.
