§ 69. Mr. Spearingasked the Attorney-General if he is satisfied with the rate of disposal of cases by the official referees of the Supreme Court.
§ The Attorney-GeneralHer Majesty has recently appointed two new circuit judges to dispose of official referees' business, thereby bringing the total number of official referees in London to six. These additional appointments should increase the rate of disposal and reduce the backlog of cases. The position will be kept under review.
