§ Mr. PattieThe Community's Council of Ministers (Research) met on 6 November 1984 in Brussels; I represented Her Majesty's Government. The Council held 85W a constructive exchange of views on the approach it would adopt to the various proposals for research programmes currently under discussion, given the present budgetary and financial constraints in the Community. The specific research proposals were not discussed individually, but the Council will return to them, following detailed work by the Presidency and the Commission, at its next meeting in December.
