§ Mr. Ron Daviesasked the Secretary of State for Wales if, in relation to the storage of surplus EEC foodstuffs in Wales, he will indicate (a) the nature of the commodities involved, (b) the total volume or quantity in each case,(c) the total value according to the latest prices in each case, (d) total floor space occupied in each case, (e) the cost of providing rental and/or rates payable in each case, and (f) the original purchase costs in each case providing the information according to location in Wales; what was the position with regard to each of the above categories of information (i) one year ago and (ii) two years ago; and if he will estimate how each category is expected to change in the next year.

Stocks will fluctuate as a result of offer levels determined by market forces, sales controlled by Commission decisions, and availability and cost of storage space.
