§ Mr. Skeetasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will amend chapter II of the Finance Act 1984 to provide further capital allowances for the establishment of a cable infrastructure in the United Kingdom.
§ Mr. MooreThe capital allowance system has been reformed, amongst other reasons, to reduce discrimination between different assets and different sectors of the economy. My hon. Friend's proposal would not be consistent with that objective.
