§ Mr. Nicholas EdwardsSenior officials of my industry department have met the chairman and other representatives of the parent company, Siebe Gorman Holdings plc, to discuss the reasons for the proposed move of the Merryweather operation from Ebbw Vale to Plymouth and the financial implications of this in relation to the regional selective assistance made available by my Department. These discussions are continuing.
