§ Mr. Jannerasked the Secretary of State for Wales whether the duties of the equal opportunities officer in his Department in monitoring equal opportunities policies will include the ensuring of compliance by his Department with the recommendations on ethnic monitoring contained in the code for the Commission for Racial Equality.
§ Mr. Nicholas EdwardsAs I said in my answer to the hon. and learned Gentleman on 26 April 1984 at column598, action in respect of ethnic monitoring in this Department will be considered when the results of the surveys carried out in the north-west and Avon have been evaluated.
