HC Deb 22 May 1984 vol 60 c404W
Mr. Allan Roberts

asked the Prime Minister what arrangements exist for liaison between the Departments of Defence, Transport and the Environment regarding the current transportation of nuclear radioactive material through Great Britain by vehicles or trailers from the Soviet Union.

The Prime Minister

I have no reason to believe that vehicles or trailers from the Soviet Union are being used in this country to transport nuclear radioactive material. Departments concerned with the transport of radioactive material consult as necessary on matters connected with their respective responsibilities.
