§ Mr. Steenasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will consider decreasing the milk quota by 20 per cent. for those farmers who increased their number of cows in 1983–84 by 20 per cent. or more.
§ Mr. MacGregorThe basis of the allocation of the initial provisional quotas was agreed in consultation with industry representatives. All sides were agreed that the allocation should be fair and equitable to all. Discrimination in the way suggested would not be consistent with these principles.
