§ Mrs. Renée Shortasked the Secretary of State for Employment which projects providing mode B youth training scheme places will be affected by the reduction of places in Wolverhampton from 3,177 for 1983–84 to 2,190 for 1984–85.
§ Mr. Peter MorrisonThe planned reduction from 3, 177 to 2,190 mode B places relates to the Manpower Services Commission's Wolverhampton training division area, which includes Walsall. In Wolverhampton itself the latest plans are that mode B places should be reduced from 1,512 in 1983–84 to 987 in 1984–85. Of the 20 mode B schemes approved in Wolverhampton in 1983–84, it is proposed that three should close and 15 be reduced in size. Those closing would be the Muslim trust, Unity scheme and Zip theatre. Those being reduced would be Beckminster training workshop, Bilston and district employment project, Church of the Good Shepherd, Crypt, Greencroft training workshop, MIND, NACRO, Normid housing, National Elfrida Rathbone society, Spring vale training, Task Force, Wolverhampton and district trades council, Wolverhampton council for community relations, Wolverhampton integrated project and the YWCA.
