§ Mr. Tony Banksasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will list the types of equipment available to the Metropolitan Police for the purpose of controlling street riots.
§ Mr. HurdThe Commissioner informs me that, in addition to equipment held for normal policing purposes, the Metropolitan Police hold stocks of the following public order equipment:
- Crowd control barriers
- Warning barriers
- Long and short protective shields
- Plastic baton round dischargers and rounds
- CS launchers and cartridges
- Protected vehicles
