HC Deb 10 May 1984 vol 59 c449W
Mr. McCrindle

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) what discussions he has had regarding the possible sale of National Health Service staff accommodation; and if he will make a statement;

(2) if it is the role of the regional health authorities to implement the sale of nurses' homes; on what grounds the judgment whether to sell is to be made; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Kenneth Clarke

We are currently considering a Rayner scrutiny report on residential accommodation in the Health Service, which shows that authorities hold a very valuable stock of property, which is not always being effectively managed. We shall be publishing the report soon.
