HC Deb 08 May 1984 vol 59 c273W
Q86. Mr. Willie W. Hamilton

asked the Prime Minister whether, in view of the fact that nurses in the National Health Service have had no pay increase for the past 18 months, she will make it the policy of Her Majesty's Government now to accept in full the recommendations contained in the independent pay review body's report.

The Prime Minister

As I have made clear, the report of the review body is under consideration, and we hope to make a statement after the Whitsun recess. The last pay settlement for these groups was negotiated and agreed on the basis that it should last until April this year.
