HC Deb 08 May 1984 vol 59 c365W
Mr. Pavitt

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will publish in the Official Report the number of acute beds available and at present in use within the Brent district health authority in the following specialties: (a) general medicine and chest diseases, (b) general surgery, (c) traumatic and orthopaedic surgery, (d) gynaecology, (e) paediatrics, (f) rheumatology and rehabilitation, (g) urology, (h) dermatology, (i) general practice medicine and (j) pre-convalescence.

The latest available information is given in the table. The figures are based on a midnight count of beds and therefore do not take into account the occupation of beds by patients who do not stay overnight.
