asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will call for reports from each chief constable concerned to provide details of the number of police injured since 26 April dealing with the current miners' dispute.

The following numbers of police officers have been injured, in the period between 26 April and 2 May inclusive, in dealing with events arising from the miners' dispute:
