§ Mr. Pikeasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry (1) when his Department will have completed consideration of the schemes submitted for consideration for funding under article 4 of the Council Regulation (EEC) No. 219/84;
(2) how long he anticipates waiting for formal approval by the Commission after his Department has determined which schemes to support for funding under article 4 of the Council Regulation (EEC) No. 219/84.
§ Mr. TrippierThe Department is still considering the entire range of schemes permitted under article 4 of Council Regulation (EEC) No. 219/84. Although we expect to put proposals to the Commission towards the end of June, it is unlikely that formal approval will be given much before the end of this year.
