HC Deb 02 May 1984 vol 59 c152W
Mr. Barron

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment when was the effective cut-off date for the Reema type of prefabricated reinforced concrete house.

Mr. Gow

My right hon. Friend has not yet decided the cut-off dates for the classes of buildings which he intends to designate under the provisions of the Housing Defects Bill. Clause 1(2)(b) of the Bill provides that the cut-off date means the date by which, in the opinion of the Secretary of State, it became generally known that the buildings in the designated class were defective by reason of their design or construction.
