asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what is the balance of trade in manufactures for the first quarter of 1984.

§ Mr. Tebbit
In the first quarter of 1984 there was a deficit on trade in manufactures of £624 million. This was more than offset by surpluses on other aspects of our trade.
