asked the Secretary of State for Wales what is the total cost of Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Schools in Wales in 1982–83; and what proportion of these costs is spent on making public the work of the inspectorate.

It is estimated that the total cost of Her Majesty's Inspectorate (Wales) in 1982–83 was about £1.5 million. It is not possible to identify separately the proportion of these costs spent on making public the work of the inspectorate.
