HC Deb 30 March 1984 vol 57 c316W
Mr. Onslow

asked the Secretary of State for Transport what representations he has received from British and overseas users of business aircraft about the constraints on business aviation at Heathrow and Gatwick airports; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. David Mitchell

The Air Transport Operators Association and the Business Aviation Users Association have both expressed concern to me about the difficulties their members are experiencing in operating at Heathrow and Gatwick during the periods of the day when the capacity of runways and terminals is fully used by airline operations and their passengers. The business aviation working group, set up by my Department, is currently considering how adequate alternative facilities can be provided for business aviation in the south-east.
