HC Deb 30 March 1984 vol 57 cc315-6W
Mr. Greenway

asked the Secretary of State for Transport if he will establish a surface pedestrian crossing or a green man crossing at the Argyle bridge over the A40 at Medway parade; and if he will make a statement.

Mrs. Chalker

I have reviewed the crossing arrangements on the eastern side of the Argyle road bridge. It should be possible to provide a pedestrian crossing facility over the A40 slip road, and a two-stage facility over the new road between Medway parade and Horsenden lane, south, integrated with the existing signal phasing. This work will be put in hand as soon as possible.
