§ 22. Mr. Kirkwoodasked the Minister of Agriulture Fisheries and Food what representations he has received about the recently announced scheme to license fishing vessels.
§ Mr. MacGregorI have received a number of representations about the licensing scheme announced on 3 February, both from individuals who are concerned about their eligibility for a licence and from various sectors of the fishing industry on the philosophy underlying the scheme. So as to ensure a fair and consistent approach, I am currently considering the various different kinds of situation in detail and hope to be able to reply to all those concerned very shortly.
