Mr. Steen

asked the Secretary of State for Defence if he will detail the land belonging to his Department recorded on the land registers as being vacant, dormant or derelict, specifying the size of each site, its location and the reason for it being under-utilised.

Inalienable unit until contamination problem resolved.
5.0 Alverstoke, Gosport, Hants Required under redevelopment plan.
9.6 Haslar, Gosport, Hants Planned for development.
22.02 Hereford, South Herefordshire May be needed for expansion of Depot
6.56 Hereford, South Herefordshire No longer required but cannot be sold for development.
May be needed by Council for road widening.
3.0 Shelton Road, Shrewsbury May be needed as possible location for new headquarters.
25.37 Lower Lines, Chatham Greater part of area likely to be disposed of when various interests are resolved.
5.07 Vauxhall Barracks, Didcot, South Oxfordshire For disposal when access problem resolved.
3.04 Alexandra Park, Bordon, Hants For disposal when access problem resolved.
6.0 Oil Fuel Depot, Turnchapel, Plymouth Surplus oil storage site but contamination prevents disposal at the present time.
