Mr. Fisher

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food how many physically handicapped and disabled people are employed and in what positions in his Department; and what percentage of the total number of employees this represents.

Mr. Jopling

On 1 March 1984, 186 registered disabled persons were employed in the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food. This represented 1.53 per cent. of the Department's total number of employees at that date. The grades occupied by registered disabled persons were as follows:
