§ Mr. HurdThe information requested is not available. The term "public disorder" is not legally precise; many notifiable offences relating to such incidents cannot be separately identified and information on summary offences is not collected centrally. Special returns were not made for 1982 or 1983 corresponding to those provided by 25 police forces on people arrested during the serious incidents of public disorder in July and August 1981, the results of which were published in Home Office statistical bulletin issue 20/82.
