Mr. Gould

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry whether he will bring up to date the written reply dated 24 February, Official Report, columns 666–67, concerning the balance of trade in manufactures with the EEC and with the rest of the world on a balance of payments basis by including figures for the fourth quarter of 1983.

The figures for the fourth quarter of 1983, together with revised earlier data, are in the table.
