HC Deb 22 March 1984 vol 56 c545W
Mr. Rathbone

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he is satisfied with the operation of the small firms advisory centres in the south-east of England; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Trippier

Yes. There are three small firms centres in the south-east of England, at Cambridge, London and Reading. Between them they answered 107,882 inquiries and held 5,964 business counselling sessions with 5,064 clients during 1983. These were increases of 84 per cent., 64 per cent. and 57 per cent. respectively over 1982.
