§ Mr. Parryasked the Secretary of State for the Environment why the hon. Member for Liverpool, Riverside was informed less than 24 hours before his official visit to the hon. Member's constituency.
§ Mr. Patrick JenkinWhen Ministers in my Department plan regional visits the local MPs are informed as soon as the final programme has been confirmed—normally about a week before the date of the visit. My programme for the visit to which the hon. Member refers was confirmed only four days before it took place, but I am sorry that so little notice was given.
