HC Deb 20 March 1984 vol 56 c389W
Mr. Parry

asked the Prime Minister if she will make it the practice for Ministers paying official visits other than of an emergency nature to hon. Members' constituencies to give adequate notice to the hon. Members concerned.

Mr. Biffen

I have been asked to reply.

My right hon. Friend would expect Ministers to abide by the convention that a Member of Parliament undertaking an official visit outside his own constituency gives advance notice to the Member in whose constituency the visit is to take place.
