HC Deb 20 March 1984 vol 56 c397W
15. Mrs. McCurley

asked the Secretary of State for Employment what arrangements exist to assist apprentices whose apprenticeships are terminated by their employers going out of business; and how many apprentices have been helped by such arrangements in recent years.

Mr. Peter Morrison

Government support is available through industrial training organisations to help employers recruit and complete the training of apprentices who are made redundant. About 5,000 such apprentices have been helped in each of the last two years.
