§ Mr. GummerIt is not practicable to publish the information in the form requested by the hon. Member, as some wage councils set separate minimum rates for as many as 60 different categories of workers. The minimum rates are set out in full in the wages orders made by the wages councils. Copies of the orders are available in the Library.

§ Mr. GummerThe independent members of wages councils are paid fees for attending council meetings according to the scale set out as follows. Members appointed to represent employers and workers are not paid fees, but are able to claim limited compensation for actual loss of earnings resulting from attendance at meetings, etc.
