Mr. Wilson

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland (1) what is his response to the recommendation in paragraph 4.51 of the Scottish Home and Health Department report, "Crossing the Boundaries", about the development of further statutory and voluntary schemes to help meet the needs of school-leavers;

(2) if he has considered the recommendation in paragraph 8.2 of the Scottish Home and Health

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many applications or inquiries have been made by tenants of housing associations who are interested in purchasing their own house.

Mr. Ancram

Information collected by the Housing Corporation shows that, in the period betwen November 1980 and 31 March 1983, some 245 enquiries or applications are known to have been made to housing associations by tenants expressing an interest in purchasing their houses.

Lord James Douglas-Hamilton

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether the Link housing association will receive further funds to complete repairs in the Link Barnton scheme, commenced in February 1982.
