§ Mr. Wyn RobertsBetween May 1979 and January 1984, 31,203 council dwellings were sold to sitting tenants under the right to buy provisions of the Housing Act 1980. A further 3,950 sales of council dwellings took place on a voluntary basis. During the period 1,744 dwellings were sold to sitting tenants by the Cwmbran Development Corporation, the Mid-Wales Development Corporation and housing associations.
