HC Deb 15 March 1984 vol 56 c230W
Mrs. Rumbold

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he has any changes to make in the cash limit for 1983–84 for the Prisons Vote, Class IX, Vote 8.

Mr. Brittan

Yes. The cash limit on the Prisons Vote (Class IX vote 8) has been raised by £4,000,000 from £530,333,000 to £534,333,000. The cash limit on the Home Office Central and Administrative Services Vote (Class IX Vote 11) has been reduced by the same amount from £163,230,000 to £159,230,000. There will, therefore, be no addition to planned spending totals. The increase can be accommodated within existing voted provision.
