§ Mrs. Rumboldasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he has any changes to make in the cash limit for 1983–84 for the Prisons Vote, Class IX, Vote 8.
§ Mr. BrittanYes. The cash limit on the Prisons Vote (Class IX vote 8) has been raised by £4,000,000 from £530,333,000 to £534,333,000. The cash limit on the Home Office Central and Administrative Services Vote (Class IX Vote 11) has been reduced by the same amount from £163,230,000 to £159,230,000. There will, therefore, be no addition to planned spending totals. The increase can be accommodated within existing voted provision.
