asked the Secretary of State for Defence how many young people are now enrolled in the Royal Navy, the Army and the Royal Air Force, respectively, under the auspices of the youth training scheme.

Mr. Stanley

On 29 February, there were 75 trainees in the Royal Navy, 366 in the Army and 100 in the Royal Air Force, giving a total of 541 enrolled in the aimed services youth training scheme. A further 39 young people have been accepted into the scheme and will be starting their courses shortly.
