Mr. Donald Stewart

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what opinions the United Kingdom representatives in Costa Rica and Honduras are conveying to the Governments of these countries regarding the recent attacks on Nicaraguan seaports.

We have made clear our wish to see an end to all violence in central America by whomsoever committed. No specific instruction was transmitted on this occasion to any of our representatives in the region.
