Mr. Anderson

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what are his reasons for refusing to release the names of the British technicians captured by UNITA in Angola.

Our concern at all times is to protect the individuals involved and their families. For this reason, it is not our practice to issue lists of names. But we have no objection to confirming names if we are certain the families are fully aware of the circumstances.
