§ Mr. HayhoeThe latest advance from the Contingencies Fund for Falklands-related purposes was £550,000, to the Vote for international subscriptions, special payments and so on — Foreign and 671W Commonwealth Office—in order to pay compensation to Falkland islanders for loss of life, injury and damage to property in the Falkland Islands; this advance was made on 7 February 1983 and repaid to the Contingencies Fund on 18 February 1983 from a Supplementary Vote approved by Parliament.
