§ Mr. Patrick JenkinI have received a considerable number of representations, including many from hon. Members, about local authorities' use of section 137 of the Local Government Act 1972. Some have urged that the expenditure limit should be raised so as to accommodate worthwhile projects, but the majority have been critical of particular uses.
