§ Mr. Tom Coxasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department which authority has the responsibility for the licensing of dogs being held at premises used for animal research.
§ Mr. MellorIt is the responsibility of those in charge of research establishments to comply with the law and to ensure that they hold licences for all dogs held on their premises. Such licences are issued for the purpose of raising an annual charge in respect of the keeping of a dog which is leviable by the county council.
