HC Deb 05 March 1984 vol 55 c401W
Mr. Alfred Morris

asked the Prime Minister what representations she has received from trade unionists at Cartsburn dockyard, Greenock, about the future of Scott Lithgow; what response she has sent; and if she will make a statement.

The Prime Minister

I have received several letters from and arranged for replies to be sent to trade union members and members of the Scott Lithgow work force. I have also received a delegation from the Scottish TUC. I have nothing to add to the many statments on this matter which have been made in the House by myself and my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Scotland and the Minister of State, Department of Trade and Industry.
