Mr. Austin Mitchell

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what sums were paid by the United Kingdom intervention board in 1983 for intervention in the case of rape seed, respectively, including storage, storage aid, export refunds, subsidies and all other outgoings.

Mr. MacGregor

Provisionally £2,120 for storage costs, about £82 million for production aid and £8,270 paid to the EAGGF as profit on the sale of 1982 purchases.
