§ Mr. Craigenasked the Secretary of State for Scotland (1) when the Scottish Development Agency intends to complete the land renewal project at Saracen Cross, Possilpark, Glasgow;
(2) what progress is being made by the Scottish Development Agency over the joint use playing field project at Ardoch Street, Possilpark, Glasgow.
§ Mr. Allan StewartThe land renewal project proposed for Saracen Cross comprises the clearance of land for industrial sites at Barloch street and the provision of open space at Ardoch street. A contract was let on 25 January 1984 for the preparation of sites at Barloch street and should take about 6 months to complete. Work on the sites proposed for open space is under design and should be ready for contract starts in the Autumn of this year with anticipated completion in the Spring of 1985.
